Week 2: May 21st - May 25th

OUTCOMES: This week I created various new banners for the Public Works page and integrated them into the banner rotation system. I also completed my mock-up of the new Intranet home page, but Susan was out sick this week so I will be presenting it to her next week.

COMMUNICATION: This week I assited various customers from Public Works, Animal Services, Utilities and the County Mayor's office via phone with small issues with our content editing application. I talked them through how to solve the problems they had on their respective pages on the Orange County website.

NEXT WEEK’S GOALS: Im going to present my mock-up of the new Intranet home page to Susan next week. Jeff and I will also begin working on the CMS 2002 integration project (along with the other co-op students).

REFLECTIONS: The banners I created this week required a lot of loaded selections in Photoshop, which I had learned about in my graphics class.

OTHER: This week was pretty slow as far as new projects go. Susan was out sick all week, and half of our team took vacation days due to Memorial Day weekend. Apparently many county employees took vacation days as well because there were not many service tickets submitted to our team. Next week will probably be extremely busy. Still, this gave me a chance to completely catch up on all of my existing projects and head into next week at the top of my game.
